Project 3: Website Design - Street of Crocodiles
I recently had the opportunity to work on a website design project for the fictional novel Street of Crocodiles. The goal of the project was to create a website that would be both informative and visually appealing, and that would accurately reflect the tone and atmosphere of the novel.
HTML website
For the HTML website, I chose to use a simple and classic design. I wanted the website to be easy to navigate and to focus on the content. The typeface I chose for the website is Times New Roman, as I felt it gave a professional and sophisticated look to the site. I also chose to match the color of the navigation to the blue of the sky in the hero image at the front of the web page. This helped to create a sense of unity and cohesion for the overall design.
Framer website
For the Framer website, I wanted to create a more dynamic and interactive experience. I chose to use a split-screen layout, with the navigation on one side and the main content on the other. This allowed me to create a more visually interesting design, and to also make it easier for users to navigate the site.
I also chose to use a more vibrant color palette for the Framer website. I wanted to match the colors of the navigation to the colors of the sunflower and wooden beam in the picture. This helped to create a more cheerful and inviting atmosphere for the site.
Overall, I am very happy with the results of this project. I believe that I have created two websites that are both informative and visually appealing, and that accurately reflect the tone and atmosphere of the novel Street of Crocodiles.
