Paul’s class 31st October Monday notes ixd 101- interaction design fundamentals

Reflection and summary for week 6 interaction design lecture:

This week, we learned about human-centered design and UI design fundamentals.

Human-centered design:

Human-centered design is a design methodology that focuses on the needs and wants of the user. It is important to design with the user in mind in order to create products and services that are easy to use and enjoyable.

UI design fundamentals:

UI design fundamentals include things like consistency, hierarchy, and affordance. Consistency means that the same elements should be used in the same way throughout the product or service. Hierarchy means that the most important elements should be the most prominent. Affordance means that the elements should be designed in a way that makes it clear how they should be used.

Key takeaways:

Here are some additional reflections:

I found the lecture to be very informative and helpful. I especially appreciated the emphasis on human-centered design and the importance of testing designs with users. I am excited to continue learning more about interaction design and how to create products and services that are both useful and enjoyable for everyone.

all design should be human centred, its as simple as that.
